Plan your vacation in 2023 with this black-owned travel company
With the pandemic starting to subside, you might be itching to take a trip and get back to some sort of normalcy. Or, you might have a classic case of wanderlust. In both cases, Black escapesa black-owned travel agency, is ready to help you relax and have the trip of a lifetime.
Founder Anita created the agency to promote black travel. Anita believes vacations are a form of self-care, especially in a culture that values work over wellness.
In fact, year after year, millions of PTO days go unused in the United States. Anita wants people to take their PTO and travel, especially black people.
She started in the travel industry as a blogger with her blog Travel is D’new Black, where she documented her domestic and international trips and shared travel tips.
In 2018, she went to an industry conference and met the host, where she discussed her blog and her extensive travels over brunch. When brunch was over, the host asked if Anita would arrange a trip for them. Anita, who hadn’t started Noire Escapes, was a bit intimidated by the demand, which led her to seriously consider starting a travel business.
Anita’s friends and family were constantly looking for hotel and destination recommendations. Realizing that she has a knack for organizing amazing trips, she started Noire Escapes in 2019.
Today, Anita has a platform with over 27,000 subscribers.
If you’re ready to board a flight to a tropical location, Noire Escapes has two trips left for 2022: Jamaica on September 1, 2022 and Aruba on November 10, 2022.
Next year, in 2023, the agency has planned five exotic getaways:
bali and Indonesia from August 30 to September 7, 2023
South Africa from June 17 to 25, 2023 and Greece from October 5 to 13, 2023.
JThese trips will stop in several cities and will have itineraries full of cultural experiences.
