Travel agency backed by £250,000 boost | South West Deals
A Bristol-based online travel agent has received a £250,000 funding boost through SWIG Finance.
Heidi offers ski and snowboard holiday packages at hundreds of resorts across Europe.
The company has been seeking funding as it transitions to a rebrand, with six new jobs now set to be created at its King Street offices.
The loan was secured by the British Business Bank’s Recovery Loan Scheme.
Co-owner Marcus Blunt said, “It’s very encouraging that SWIG is taking a human approach to lending, and that’s what has made the experience so positive.
“Our Commercial Director, Nicola, took the time to really understand our business, what we needed and where we wanted it to go. Nicola was able to see the opportunities ahead and that went a long way in securing funds .”
Nicola Mapp, Senior Commercial Director of SWIG Finance, added: “Alexander and Marcus have worked incredibly hard to maintain momentum, despite the very difficult market conditions created by Covid.
“The fact that they were able to continue to grow the business while dealing with major disruption is a testament to their determination to succeed.
“The product they offer is innovative in their market and their mission to make these types of vacations more accessible will be key in helping them stand out from their competition.”
